πŸ‰ Savor Summertime with Your Small Pet 🌻

Summer is a great time for us to bond with our furry family members, especially on those hot days when the AC indoors is extra refreshing for them and for us.

Savoring Summertime with Your Small Pet

Hay Day -- Offer a new type of hay in small handfuls in a bowl or basket, stacking cups or a crinkled up lunch sack. Sprinkle in a little of their favorite herbal blend or foraging mix for an easy-to-plan foraging adventure 🌿!

Tug of War -- Tie a fresh chew like a willow ball or loofah to a seagrass mat or timothy mat for a 'small pet sports challenge'.

For a ✨bonding time bonus✨, hold a chew toy in one of your hands and make them pull it loose. Pet them in their favorite spot as a reward then pick up the toy and repeat.

β˜€οΈ Hot Tip β˜€οΈ -- Mats with a loose weave are also great for tucking timothy cubes, apple sticks or willow stick into.

For something extra special, treat them to a seasonal Fruity Fun Hay Mat handmade with 2 seagrass mats, 4 balsa cubes and a fruit-flavored loofah ring. Available in 3 loofah flavors - banana, blueberry, and strawberry - while supplies last.

Social Hour -- Have you ever listened to music with your small pet? How about sat next to them and ate a piece lettuce or cilantro while they did too?

Sometimes a simple shared activity is all you need to brighten their day (and add a little small pet magic into yours πŸ’–).

What summer activities do you share with your small pet? We'd love to hear your stories!!

We know that a balanced food is an important part of a pet's diet but did you know that it also supports their overall health and well-being? We used to feed our bunnies pellets in a ceramic bowl until we discovered that they are happier and more engaged when we encourage their natural foraging instincts by scatter feeding on a mat or using an enrichment toy like stacking cups or a wobble toy. More engaged meal feeding has other benefits like slowing down how much they have in their mouth at...
